As I write this post it is so late in the night but it's one of those instances where my creative juices are flowing. I'm sure that my new Keurig has nothing to do with it either! Well, I have the privelge of speaking three times in the next three days. On Tuesday and Thursday I have the honor of sharing with a group of K-Life students on the topic of "Who is the Church?" I'm excited to connect with several unchurched teens in our community and speak into their lives. My friend, Clay Carson is doing an awesome job of pouring his life out for these teens.
Wednesay night is the second part of our "Ignition: I am Second" series which has been extremely powerful. The videos capture the testimonies of our ISM Staff/Small Group Leaders and our students have really engaged in this series. If you are intersted in checking out our "I am Second" videos, all you have to do is Click Here. Wednesday I will be speaking on "How We Can Become Second". I'm stoked. Last week was incredible as we spent three days in Dallas at the C3 Conference at Fellowship Church. Ed Young rocked it with a message that I am calling, "The Shark Tank". It was awesome. I will be sure to post some of the notes here on the blog from my Dallas trip soon. Be sure to check back.
My friend Josh Mayo is putting together a creative think tank and was asking for some links that youth pastors frequently go to get creativity for their student ministries. If you know of any webistes or resources that you consistently utilize, please do us a favor and comment on this post and let us in on some of your honey holes that you use!
Today the twitter page for my book "Green" went live. Be sure to friend us and follow our tweets by searching for @thebookgreen on Twitter.
Well, I think that's it for tonight. As I sign off, let me encourage you to continue to work hard. In the words of Willie George, "God is always preparing us and moving us forward. Sometimes man is waiting on a move of God, but more often than not God is waiting on a move of man." So get out there and get your hands dirty and break a sweat for Jesus. I love ya!
